When purchasing these steel bit accessories, it's important to know the shank type and collar type on your model to ensure you order the correct steel bit accessory that fits your model chipping hammer.  Your owners manual should indicate which shank and collar type your tool includes.  However, here's and easy way to identify.  Remember, always have your tool disconnected from the air supply before removing the collar (retainer) from your tool.

If you have an oval collar retainer, the hole that opens at the end of the retainer (the end where the steel bit will come out of) will be an oval shape:

This means you have an oval collar retainer.

-Once the retainer is off the tool, look inside and if you see a hex (hexagon) shape:

-If you see a round (circle) shape inside the tool once you take off the retainer:
